Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of Walter Richard Sackett and Mary Ann Bligh, was born in Thanet, KentG, in 1894.1 She married at St Luke's Church, Ramsgate, KentG, on 17 May 1919, Sidney Smith, son of James Smith.2,3,4
     In 1901 Elizabeth was living at 1 Salem Cottages, King Street, RamsgateG, in the household of her parents Walter and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Lizzie Sackett, aged eight and born in Ramsgate.5
     In 1911 Elizabeth was living at 7 Edith Cottages, Margate Road, RamsgateG, in the household of her mother Mary Ann and stepfather Charles Buckley, and was recorded in the census as Elizabeth Sackett, aged 16 and born in Ramsgate.6
     In 1921 she was living at 7 Judith Villas, Clements Road, St Lawrence in ThanetG, in the household of her mother Mary, and was recorded as Elizabeth Smith, a worker at a steam laundry, aged 24. Living with her were her husband Sidney Smith, 36, and her daughter Ellen Sackett [Nellie], aged eight [actually seven].7
