Frederick Sackett, son of Jabez Sackett and Sarah Anne "Annie" Young, was born in Elham, KentG, in 1872.1,2 He died aged 78 in Hull, YorkshireG, on 26 February 1950.3,4 He married in HullG in 1894, Florence Langdale.5 She was born in HullG in about 18766 and died aged 84 in HullG in 1960.7
In 1881 Frederick was living at North Gate, Walkington, YorkshireG, and was recorded in the census as Frederick Sackett, a scholar, aged nine and born in Elham, Kent, son of Jabez Sackett.8
In 1891 he was living at 43 Paisley Street, Newington, Sculcoates, West Hull, YorkshireG, in the household of his mother Sarah, and was recorded as Frederick Sackett, a solicitor's clerk, unmarried, aged 19, and born in Elham, Kent.9
In 1901 he was living at Sauvagees, St Sampson's, GuernseyG, and was recorded as Frederick Sackett, head of household, a market gardener (employed), aged 39 (should be 29) and born in England. Living with him were his wife Florence, aged 25 and born in England, and his children, Lettie, 5, George, 3, and Agnes, aged three weeks.10
Frederick and his family did not remain long in Guernsey, returning to Yorkshire sometime before 1904.
In 1911 he was living at 2 Suffolk Terrace, Suffolk Street, HullG, and was recorded as Frederick Sackett, works foreman in a paint manufacturers, head of household, aged 39 and born in Elham. Living with him were his wife Florence, 35, and their children, Lettie, 15, George, 13, and Robert, aged six.11
In 1919 Frederick was a foreman living at 2 Suffolk Terrace, Suffolk Street, HullG.12,13
In 1921 he was living at 2 Suffolk Terrace, Suffolk Street, SculcoatesG, and was recorded as Frederick Sackett, a warehouseman at a paint manufacturers, head of household, aged 49. Living with him were his wife Florence, 45, and their children, Lettie, 26, and Robert, aged 16.14
