Solomon S Dewey, son of Asaph Dewey and Penelope Sacket, was born in Richmond, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 13 October 1799.1,2 He died aged 61 on 30 October 1860.1 He married first in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 28 April 1828, Polly Wood.2 He married second Sophia Henry.1
