Mary Caroline Sackett, daughter of Isaac Sackett and Mercy Mansfield, was born in OhioG on 8 October 1841.1 She married first in Orwell, Ashtabula County, OhioG, on 2 November 1857, John M Sage.2 She married second on 8 June 1887, James W Covert.2
     In 1850 Mary was living in Orwell, Ashtabula CountyG, in the household of her parents Isaac and Mercy, and was recorded in the census as Caroline M Sacket, aged nine and born in Ohio.3
     In 1860 she was living in OrwellG and was recorded as Mary C Sage, aged 18. She was living with her husband John Sage and their one-year-old daughter Carrie in the household of Mary's parents Isaac and Mercy.4
