Mary H Sackett, daughter of Isaac Sackett and Polly Hammond, was born on 30 October 1800.1 She died aged about 88 in 1888.1 She married Thomas Brownell.1
     Mary was named as a beneficiary in her father's will made in ColchesterG on 14 May 1851. She was to share equally with her four siblings the residue of the estate after allowing for their mother's lifetime interest in the homestead and the payment to her of an annuity of $50.2
     In 1860 Mary was living in Colchester, Chittenden County, VermontG, in the household of her husband Thomas Brownwell, 72, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Mary Brownwell, aged 59 and born in New York. Living with them were their children, Thomas, 25, George, 19, Julian, 17, and Henry, aged 14. Also in the household was Mary's stepmother Silence
