Edmond Sacket, [Edward in The Sacketts of America], son of Noble Sacket and Olive Watkins, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 4 April 1812.1,2 He died aged 80 in Amboy, Lee County, IllinoisG, on 20 November 18922 and was buried at Binghampton Cemetery, AmboyG.5 He married in Enfield, Hartford County, ConnecticutG, on 29 December 1833, Cynthia Field, daughter of Elijah Field and Cynthia ___.1,3 She was born in Longmeadow, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 24 February 1813.1,6 She died aged about 59 on 17 May 1872 and was buried at Binghampton Cemetery, AmboyG.5 He married second Alvira ___.4 Alvira was born in VermontG about 1813.4
     Edmond was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in West Springfield, Hampden CountyG.7
     In 1850 Edmond was living in Deerfield, Franklin County, MassachusettsG, and was recorded in the census as Edmund Sacket, a cutler, aged 38 and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Cynthia, 37, and their children, Theo, 15, Cynthia, 12, Martha, 4, and Hannah, aged one.8
     In 1860 he was living in Amboy, Lee County, IllinoisG, and was recorded as Edmund Sackett, a farmer, aged 48. Living with him were his wife Cynthia, 47, and their children, Theodore, 26, Martha, 15, Hannah, 11, Charles 5, and [Cynthia] Mandana, 21, with her husband Henry Hubbell, 21.9
     In 1870 he was living in AmboyG and was recorded as Edmund Sackett, a blacksmith, aged 58. Living with him were his wife Cynthia, 57, and their son Charles,15.10
     In 1880 he was living in AmboyG and was recorded as Edmond Sackett, a blacksmith, aged 69. Living with him was his second wife, Alvira, 67.11
