Henry L Sackett, son of John Sackett and Mary Mead, was born in Connecticut^G on 24 March 1809.^1,2,3 He died there aged 85 on 14 September 1894^1,2 and was buried at the Second Congregational Church Cemetery, Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G.^2,4,5,6 He was unmarried.¹
     In 1850 Henry was living in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, in the household of his sister Mary and brother-in-law Charles Seaman, and was recorded in the census as Henry Sackett, aged 40 and born in Connecticut.⁷
     In 1880 he was living in Greenwich^G and was recorded as Henry L Sackett, single, aged 70. He was a boarder in the household of Freeman Tyler.⁸

Rachel Elisabeth Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Mary Mead, was born in Connecticut^G on 20 December 1811.^1,2,3 She died aged 73 in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, on 18 July 1885^1,2 and was buried at the Second Congregational Church Cemetery, Greenwich^G.^2,5,6 She married in Greenwich^G on 31 December 1838, Charles Mead, son of Jonas Mead and Hannah Hubbard.^1,4 Charles was born in Greenwich^G on 4 February 1812.^3,5 He died there aged 85 on 12 January 1898 and was buried at the Second Congregational Church Cemetery^G.⁵
     Rachel was baptized as an adult on 23 January 1831 and admiited to membership of the Second Congregational Church^G.^7,8
     In 1850 Rachel was living in Greenwich^G in the household of her husband Charles, 37, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Rachel Mead, aged 37 and born in Connecticut. Living with them were their children, Sarah, 10, Whitman, 9, and Mary, aged seven. They were living in the household of Charles's adoptive parents, Noah (Charles's uncle) and Elizabeth Mead.⁹
     In 1860 she was living in Greenwich^G in the household of her husband Charles, 48, a farmer, and was recorded as Rachel E Mead, aged 47. Living with them were their children, Sarah, 20, Whitman, 19, Mary, 17, Hannah, 9, and Charles, aged six. Also in the household was the elder Charles's adoptive mother Elizabeth.¹⁰
     In 1870 she was living in Greenwich^G in the household of her husband Charles, 58, a farmer, and was recorded as Rachel Mead, aged 58. Living with them were their children, Whitman, 29, Mary, 26, Hannah, 18, and Charles, aged 16.¹¹
     In 1880 she was living in Greenwich^G in the household of her husband Charles, 68, a farmer, and was recorded as Rachel Elizabeth Mead, aged 68. Living with them were their children, Hannah, 28, and Charles, 26. Also in the household were their son Whitman, 38, with his wife Sarah, 35, and their children, Julia, 5, and Clara, aged two.¹²

Whitman M Sackett, son of John Sackett and Mary Mead, was born on 2 November 1813.¹ He died aged 21 in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, on 30 September 1835¹ and was buried at the Second Congregational Church Cemetery, Greenwich^G.^2,3
     Whitman was baptized as an adult and admitted to membership of the Second Congregational Church, Greenwich^G, on 1 May 1831.^4,5

Abigail S Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Mary Mead, was born in Connecticut^G on 4 December 1816.^1,2 She died aged 65 on 14 June 1882.¹ She married in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, on 15 February 1836, Gilbert Lent.³ Gilbert was born in New York State^G about 1814.²

Living with them were their children, Whitman, 13, Mary Ann, 11, Titus, 7, Warren, 5, and Josephine, aged one.⁶

Mary Ann Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Mary Mead, was born in Connecticut^G on 8 May 1820.^1,2,3 She died aged 79 in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, on 5 March 1900^1,2 and was buried at the Second Congregational Church Cemetery, Greenwich^G.² She married in Greenwich^G on 26 August 1840, Charles H Seaman.⁴ Charles was born in Connecticut^G about 1819.³
     Mary was baptized as an adult on 1 May 1831 and admitted to membership of the Second Congregational Church, Greenwich^G.^5,6
     In 1850 Mary was living in Greenwich^G in the household of her husband Charles, 31, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Mary A Seaman, aged 30 and born in Connecticut. Living with them were their children, Edgar, 8, and Mary, aged four. Mary Ann's brother Henry, 40, was also in the household.⁷

William Henry Sackett, son of John Sackett and Mary Mead, was born on 18 April 1822.^1,2 He was baptized as an adult on 5 July 1846 and admitted to membership of the Second Congregational Church, Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G.^4,5 He died aged 80 in Greenwich^G on 13 February 1903^1,3 and was buried at the Second Congregational Church Cemetery, Greenwich^G.^6,7

Thomas Mead Sackett, son of John Sackett and Mary Mead, was born in Connecticut^G on 5 August 1824.^1,2 He died aged 63 in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, on 14 April 1888³ and was buried at the Episcopal Church Cemetery, Greenwich^G.^5,6,7 He was baptized as an adult on 7 July 1839 and admitted to membership of the Second Congregational Church, Greenwich^G.^8,9 He married Sarah J Kimball.⁴ Sarah was born in Massachusetts^G in 1826.^2,4 She died aged about 39 in Greenwich^G in 1865 and was buried in the Episcopal Church Cemetery, Greenwich^G.^4,10,11
     In 1850 Thomas was living in Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina^G, and was recorded in the census as Thomas M Sackett, a merchant, aged 24 and born in Connecticut. Living with him were his wife Sarah, 22, their daughter Elizabeth, aged seven months, and an Elizabeth Kimball, aged 20, probably Sarah's sister. Thomas also owned two slaves, a female aged 24, and a male aged twelve.^12,13
     In 1860 he was living in New York City^G and was recorded as Thos M Sackett, a hardware (merchant), aged 36. Living with him were his wife Sarah, 33, and their children, Elizabeth, 10, Mary, 8, John, 5, and Annie, aged three. Also in the household were Miss Kimball, 31 (probably Sarah's sister Elizabeth), and a female domestic servant.¹⁴
     Thomas registered for the Civil War draft in New York City^G in June 1863. He was an agent, aged 38, living at 52nd Street between 4th and 5th avenues, and was born in Connecticut.¹⁵
