Richard Heath Sackett Sr
(1919-2017)
Richard Heath Sackett Sr, son of Herbert Joel Sackett and Alice Katherine Heath, was born in Hamburg, Erie County, New York StateG, on 11 October 1919.1 He died aged 98 on 10 December 2017.2 He married in Queens, New York CityG, in 1951, Mary Theresa Baynes.3 Mary was born in Elmhurst, Queens County, New York StateG, on 30 November 1919.4
In 1920 Richard was living at Middle Road, Hanover, Chautauqua County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Herbert and Alice, and was recorded in the census as Richard Sackett, aged three months and born in New York.5
In 1930 he was living at Knight Street, Hanover, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Herbert and Alice, and was recorded as Richard H Sackett, aged ten.6
Richard served in the New York National Guard, enlisting on 1 May 1937 in the 106th Field Artillery.7
Richard was a member of the Sackett Family Association, joining in May 2010.
