Effie McKay Sackett

Effie McKay Sackett, Mother, Grandma, "Grandma Great" and friend passed away and declared her independence on July 4th, 2007. She was 94 years of age.
Mom was born in Willard Utah June 17th, 1913 to Angus William McKay and Christina Wangsgard. She grew up in Willard and later moved to Ogden and attended Central Jr. High School.
Mom married (Dad) Clifford Woodroff Sackett on Dec 24th, 1929 in Ogden Utah and 10 years later they were sealed for all time and eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their marriage brought 8 children into the world. Dad passed away March 21, 1970.
Mom worked for Topper Bakery and the Utah State Tax Commission for many years. She could be seen almost daily in her little red Chev pickup truck going in all directions. She was known to many as Grandma, even if you were of no relation. She loved camping with her family and fishing with her friends. She especially enjoyed going out to lunch with her friends and family. Mom enjoyed crocheting & ceramics. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Mom was preceded in death by her Grand Parents, Father, Mother, Husband, three children, three brothers, two sisters, one son-in-law and one Grandson.
Surviving are her children, 3 sons, 2 daughters, 3 daughters-in-law, also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren, and 11 Great-Great Grandchildren.
