6653. Asher Clayton Ford, 1860–, son of Simeon D. and (3812) Malinda T. Sackett Ford, graduated in 1885 at Stoors Agricultural School, at Mansfield, Conn. After completing his course he decided to settle in the far west. He stopped for a time near Pine River, Colorado. From there he went to Eagle Pass, Idaho. After a short sojourn at latter place he went to Grants Pass, Oregon, and there engaged in farming and fruit growing.
