Justin Sacket, son of Elijah Sacket and Cynthia Sacket, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, on 5 September 1814.1,2 He died on 3 March 1897.1 He married at the First Church, Springfield, Hampden County, on 1 October 1840, Sophia Marsh, daughter of Apollo Marsh.3,4,5
In 1870 Justin was living at Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, and was recorded in the census as Justin Sackett, a landscape gardener, aged 55,and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Sophia, aged 44, and born in Massachusetts, and children, Alice (29), Edward (26), and James (16). Also in the household was George Finning?, a laborer.6
