George Sackett, son of Thomas Sackett the elder and Joane ___, was born in about 1565. He died aged about 47 and was buried at St Peter's Church on 29 March 1612.1 He was described in the burials register as a 'poor man', presumably indicating that he had been maintained by the parish. He married at St Peter's Church, Thanet, Kent, on 15 January 1589/90, Katherine Tompson.2
George was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in St Peter in Thanet on 30 March 1594.3 He was left £12 in money and various chattels, his brother Thomas as the elder son inheriting his father's tenement and lands.
