Captain Justus Sacket, son of Jonathan Sacket and Ann Filer, was born in Hebron, Connecticut, on 9 March 1729/30.1,2 He died on 16 March 1815.2 He married in Kent, Litchfield County, Connecticut, on 1 January 1756, Lydia Newcomb, 1738-1808, daughter of Benjamin Newcomb and Hannah Clark.3,2
     Justus was commissioned Captain of the Second Train Band of Kent (Warren), Connecticut, in 1765, and served in the American Revolutionary War.
     Justus was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in Kent, Litchfield County, Connecticut, on 12 June 1772.
     Justus was named as a beneficiary in his mother's will made in Litchfield County, Connecticut, in June 1783.
