Capt. & Deacon Samuel Sackett, soldier and Justice of the Peace, of New Haven, Connecticut, son of Lieut John Sackett and Mary Woodin, was born in New Haven on 7 March 1702/3.1,2,3 He died there in February 1781.3 He married first in New Haven on 11 December 1728, Elisabeth Todd, daughter of Samuel Todd and Susana Tuthill.4,5,3 Elisabeth died in New Haven on 3 September 1737.6,7 He married second in New Haven before 1741, Lydia Heaton, daughter of Seth Heaton and Hannah Todd. Lydia was born in New Haven on 16 February 1717. She died there on 4 December 1749. He married third in New Haven on 5 August 1752, Hannah (Russell) Pierpont, daughter of Rev. Noadiah Russell, and widow of Lieut Joseph Pierpont.8,9
