Benoni Sacket, son of Samuel Sacket and Elizabeth Bissell, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, on 18 May 1710.1,2,3 He died there on 6 April 1785.1,4 He married at Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, on 11 March 1731/32, Mindwell Smith.1,4,5
     Benoni's father Samuel died in November 1709, several months before Benoni's birth. His mother Elizabeth was remarried in 1713, to John Root.6
     Benoni served as a soldier in a company raised in Massachusetts for an expedition against Canada in 1746.7
