Samuel Sacket, son of John Sacket and Abigail Hannum, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, on 18 October 1674^1,2,3 and died there on 8 November 1709 aged 35.^4,1,5 He married in 1698, Elizabeth Bissell, daughter of Samuel Bissell.^1,6 Samuel Sacket's widow Elizabeth married John Root in 1713.⁷
