John Sackett, yeoman of St John in Thanet, son of Thomas Sackett and Catherine ___, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent, on 2 November 1654.1 He was baptized at St Peter's Church on 17 November 1654.1 He died in Margate on 29 June 1727.2 He was buried at St John's Church on 2 July 1727.3,2 He married at St John's Church on 16 November 1684, Mary Taylor.4,5 Mary was born in about 1658.6 She was buried at St John's Church on 7 June 1722.7,2 It was probably this John Sackett who married widow Mary (___) Mount at St Alphege Church, Canterbury, Kent on 2 June 1726.8,9
     John was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in St John in Thanet on 1 January 1709/10.10,11
