Vincent Andrew Sackett, farmer of Acol, Kent, son of Barzillai Sackett and Sarah Walker Harlow, was born in Thanet, Kent, in 1868.1 He was baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, Kent, on 23 February 1868.2 He died aged 64 in Thanet in 1932.3 He married in East Ashford, Kent, in 1893, Florence Annie Bull.4,5 She was born in Hornsey, Middlesex, in about 1868.6 She died aged 42 in Thanet 7 and was buried at Birchington, Kent, on 1 September 1910.8
     In 1871 Vincent was living at 4 Northwood Lane, St Lawrence, Kent, and was recorded in the census as Vincent A Sackett, aged 3 and born in St Lawrence, son of Barzilla Sackett.9
     In 1881 he was living at 1 Northwood, St Lawrence, Kent, and was recorded as Vincent A Sackett, a scholar aged 13 and born in St Lawrence, son of Barzilla Sackett.10
     In 1891 he was living at West Northdown, Margate, Kent, in the household of his parents Barzillai and Sarah, and was recorded as Vincent A Sackett, a farmer's son, unmarried, aged 23, and born in Ramsgate.11
     In 1901 Vincent's widow was living at Woodchurch Farm House, Acol, Kent, and was recorded in the census as Vincent Sackett, a farmer (employer) head of household, married, aged 33, and born in St Lawrence. Living with him were his wife Florence, aged 32, and born in Hornsey, and their children, Hilda (7), Gladys (4), Arthur (1), and Nellie (4 [weeks]). Also in the household was a female domestic servant.12
