Fanny Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Fanny Goodburn, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent, in 18491,2 and baptized at St Peter's Church on 8 December 1849.2 She married in Lewisham, Kent, in 1873, Samuel Hopkins.3,4
In 1851 Fanny was living at 50 Church Street, St Peter's, Kent, and was recorded in the census as Fanny Sackett, aged 1 and born in St Peter's, daughter of Edward B Sackett.5
In 1861 she was living at 7 Brick Lane, St Lawrence, Kent, in the household of her father Edward and stepmother Jane, and was recorded as Fanny Sackett, a scholar, aged 11, and born in St Peter's.6
In 1881 she was living at 6 Tranquil Vale, Lewisham, Kent, in the household of her husband Samuel Hopkins, aged 28, a master cabinet maker, and was recorded as Fanny Hopkins, aged 31 and born in St Peter's, Isle Of Thanet. Living with them were their children, Ernest (7), George (6), Grace (3), and Alfred (1), all born in Blackheath, Kent, and Samuel's unmarried sister Sarah.7
