Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Fanny Goodburn, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent, in 18441,2 and baptized at St Peter's Church on 14 July 1844.2 She married at St Peter's Church on 2 September 1871, James Robert Pettman, a carpenter, son of Isaac Pettman.3,4 James was born in about 1847.5
     In 1851 Elizabeth was living at 50 Church Street, St Peter's, Kent, and was recorded in the census as Elizabeth Sackett, aged 6 and born in St Peter's, daughter of Edward B Sackett.6
     In 1871 she was living at Chapel Hill Lodge, Margate, Kent, and was recorded as Elizabeth Sackett, a general servant, unmarried, aged 26, and born in St Peter's, Kent.7
