Ann Devonshire Sackette, daughter of Samuel Sackette and Louisa Rebecca Chambers, was baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, Kent, on 24 February 1832.1 She married there on 13 June 1855, James Easton, son of James Easton.2,3 James (the younger) was born in Surrey in about 1831.4
In 1851 Ann was living at Marine House, Ramsgate, Kent, and was recorded in the census as Anne D Sackett, unmarried, aged 19 and born in Ramsgate, daughter of Samuel Sackett. Also in the household was a 20-year-old James Easton, later to become Anne's husband.4
