Arden H Sackett, son of Clark Sackett and Fanny Firster, was born in London Township, Monroe County, Michigan, on 25 December 1837.1 He died in Plymouth, Wayne County, Michigan, on 8 August 1919.1 He married in Washtenaw County, Michigan, on 13 April 1877, Margaret Winters.1 Margaret was born in Dundee, Scotland, on 16 December 1848.1 She died on 25 December 1927.1
Arden Sackett served from 1862 to 1865 in the American Civil War as a Corporal in the 20th Regiment, Michigan Infantry, of the Union Army. He was wounded during the Siege of Petersburg in 1865.2,3

His final service rank was corporal."
