Robert Bernard Sackett, son of Henry Sackett and Louisa Elizabeth Mathison, was born in Romford, Essex, in 1905.1,2 He died aged 40 in Romford, Essex, on 15 July 1945.3,4 He was buried in the Hornchurch (Rainham) Cemetery, Essex. He married in 1926, Elsie May Fynn.
     Robert Sackett served in the Second World War as a sapper in the Royal Engineers. He died in service.
