Colonel Augustine Sacket, farmer and businessman of Canandaigua, Ontario County, New York, son of Homer Sacket and Sarah Carter, was born in Warren, Connecticut, on 24 April 1789.1,2 He married on 13 November 1814, Arze Starr, daughter of Platt Starr.2 Arze was born in 1793. She died in 1871.
Augustine Sacket was a militiaman, becoming commanding officer of the 11th New York Infantry Regiment.
