John Wesley Sackett, son of Rev Benjamin Sackett and Elizabeth Lee, was born in Langford, Oxfordshire, in 18751,2 and died aged 57 in Wandsworth, London, in 1932.3 He married at St George in the East, London, in 1898, Ada Wiles.4,5
     In 1881 John was living at 7 Trinity Terrace, Stepney, Middlesex, and was recorded in the census as John W Sackett, aged 6 and born in Langford, Oxford, the son of Benjamin Sackett.6
     In 1891 he was living at 14 Albert Square, Stepney, Middlesex, and was recorded as John Wesley Sackett, a shipbroker's clerk (employed), aged 16 and born in Langford, Oxford, the son of Benjamin Sackett.7
     In 1901 John was living at 1 Arundell Villas, Chelmsford Road, St Mary, Woodford, Essex, and was recorded in the census as John Wesley Sackett, a bookkeeper, head of household, married, aged 26 and born in Langford, Oxford. Living with him were his wife Ada, aged 25 and born in St George's in the East, London, and Ada's 64-year-old widowed mother Martha Willis [or Wiles?].8
