Edward Sackett, son of John Sackett and Catherine Andrews, was born in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, on 18 August 1791 and baptized there on 4 September 1791.1 He died aged 27 in St Lawrence in ThanetG on 21 October 1818 and was buried at St Peter in ThanetG on 26 October 1818.2,3 He married at Christ Church, Spitalfields, Stepney, MiddlesexG, on 27 May 1810, Mary Saunders, daughter of John Saunders and Mary ___.4 Mary was born in Tower Hamlets, LondonG, on 12 August 1792 and baptized at St George in the East, Tower HamletsG, on 2 September 1792.5 After Edward's death, Mary married second in St Lawrence in ThanetG on 11 October 1823, James Russell.6
Edward was apprenticed to a shipwright in 1808. He married two years later and presumably did not complete his apprenticeship.7
