Julia Sacket, daughter of Ezra Sacket and Lydia Lovering, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, in about 1797.1,2 She died there aged about 80 on 28 January 1877.3 She married in WestfieldG on 13 May 1824, Lyman Norton, son of Noah Norton and Electa Noble.1,4,5,6 Lyman was born in MassachusettsG in about 1798.2 He died aged 52 in WestfieldG on 29 January 1851.7,8
     Julia was named as a beneficiary in her father's will made in WestfieldG on 1 March 1834. She was to receive a sum of $3, subject to the unusual condition that she return a bed and clothing that had belonged to her mother.9
     In 1850 Julia was living in WestfieldG in the household of her husband Norton Lyman, 52, a laborer, and was recorded in the census as Julia Norton, aged 50 and born in Massachusetts.10
     In 1860 she was living in WestfieldG and was recorded as Julia Norton, aged 63. She was living alone.11
     In 1870 she was living in WestfieldG and was recorded as Julia Norton, aged 73, She and ten other residents were described as "town poor" in a household headed by the "Town Farmer."12
