Stephen Sackett, son of John Sackett and Mary Taylor, was baptized at St John in Thanet, KentG, on 29 October 1699.1 He died aged 86 on 3 January 1786 and was buried at St John in ThanetG on 11 January 1786.2,3,4 He married at St John in ThanetG on 17 November 1723, Elizabeth Gyles.5 Elizabeth died following the birth of her daughter Sarah and was buried at St John in ThanetG on 5 May 1736.6 Although his wife Elizabeth died at a young age, leaving Stephen with two daughters to bring up, it would not appear that he remarried. He survived his wife by some 50 years.
Stephen was named as a beneficiary in his brother John's will made at St Peter in ThanetG on 29 November 1756.7
He was left a sum of £20.
