Mary Kerslake

Mary Kerslake was born in Kingsbrompton (now Brompton Regis), SomersetG, in about 1814.1 She married in Brompton RegisG on 24 April 1834, James Sutton, son of George Sutton and Lucy Kettner.2,3
     In 1841 Mary was living in Brompton RegisG and was recorded in the census as Mary Sutton, aged 25+ and born in Somerset. She was living with her husband James, 30+, and their children, Mary, 2, and James, aged five months.4
     In 1851 she was living in KingsbromptonG and was recorded as Mary Sutton, aged 37 and born in Kingsbrompton. She was living with her husband James, 42, and their seven children.5
     In 1861 she was living in KingsbromptonG in the household of her husband James, 54, a farmer, and was recorded as Mary Sutton, aged 47. Living with them were their eight children, including Edward aged seven.6
     In 1871 she was living in Brompton RegisG and was recorded as Mary Sutton, aged 57. She was living with her husband James, 63, a farmer, and three children including Edward, aged 17.7
     In 1881 she was living at Bleak Down, Brompton RegisG, and was recorded as Mary Sutton, aged 67. She was living with her husband James, 73, and their son Isaac, 22.8
