Laura Jones, daughter of James Jones and Mary Evans, was born in Nantyglo, MonmouthshireG, on 1 February 1897.1,2,3 She died aged 93 in GwentG on 7 January 1991.4,5 She married in Bedwellty, MonmouthshireG, in 1923, Benjamin Rogers, son of ___ Rogers and ___ Price.6
     In 1901 Laura was living at 33 Garn Road, NantygloG, in the household of her parents James and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Laura Jones, aged four and born in Nantyglo.7
     In 1911 she was living at Waterloo Cottages, NantygloG, in the household of her parents James and Mary, and was recorded as Laura Jones, aged 14.8
     In 1921 Laura was living at Garn Road, NantygloG, in the household of her parents James and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Laura Jones, aged 24.9
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Laura was living at 15 Bryn View, NantygloG, with her husband Ben.10
     Laura was listed on the electoral roll for the Abertillery Division in 1945.11
