Phineas Edgar Sackett, son of Phineas Porter Sackett and Emilia Hoffmann, was born in Highland, Madison County, IllinoisG, on 21 December 1907.1 He died aged 54 in Wood River, Madison CountyG, on 22 August 1962.1 He married in HighlandG on 19 November 1927, Irene Bessie Gilomen.1 Irene was born in Marine, Madison CountyG, on 17 January 1911.1 She died in HighlandG on 14 January 1986.1
     In 1940 Phineas was living in Helvetia, Madison CountyG, and was recorded in the census as Phineas Sackett, a shoe factory worker, aged 32 and born in Illinois. Living with him were his wife Irene, 29, and their children, Colleen, 12, and Billy, aged nine.2
     In 1950 he was living in HighlandG and was recorded as Phineas Sackett, an office assistant in a cartridge plant, aged 42. Living with him were his wife Irene, 39, and their son Billy, 19.3
