Elisha Belcher Sackett, son of Justus Sackett Jr and Clarissa Belcher, was born on 24 February 1802.1 He was baptized at the Second Congregational Church, Greenwich, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, on 10 September 1815.2 Elisha died aged about 82 in 1884.1 He married Abigail E Moore.1
     Elisha was listed in New York City directories in 1838 to 1840, with premises at Water Street, ManhattanG, where he was in business with his brother Amos.3
     Elisha was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in New York CityG.4
