Florence Edith Sackett, daughter of Barzillai Sackett and Sarah Walker Harlow, was born in Thanet, KentG, on 15 February 18741,2 and baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, KentG, on 5 May 1874.3 She died aged 90 in 1964. She married at St John in Thanet, KentG, on 4 January 1899, Frederick William Willett.4,5
In 1881 Florence was living at 1 Northwood, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Florence E Sackett, a scholar aged 7 and born in St Lawrence, daughter of Barzilla Sackett.6
In 1891 she was living at West Northdown, Margate, KentG, in the household of her parents Barzillai and Sarah, and was recorded as Florrie Sackett, a scholar, aged 17, and born in Ramsgate.7
In 1921 she was living at 1 St Helen's Park Road, Hastings, SussexG, and was recorded as Florence Willett, a widow, head of household, aged 44. Living with her were her brother Arthur, 52, and her daughter Vera, 20. Florence's son Reggie, 18, was a visitor.8
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Florence was living at 59 Magazine Road, AshfordG, with her sisters Rosie and Emily. They each understated their age in the Register, Rosie and Emily by four years and Florence by five years.9
