Alan Francis Pettman, son of James Robert Pettman and Elizabeth Sackett, was born in Thanet, KentG, on 11 December 1882.1,2 He died aged about 69 in 1952.3 He married at Birchington, KentG, on 21 October 1907, Phyllis Mary Pemble, daughter of Edward Pemble and Hannah Petley.2 Alan and Phyllis were fifth cousins.
