Cyrus Wesley Sackett, son of Columbus Dellino "C D" Sackett and Emma Maria Hughes, was born in Hoagland, Allen County, IndianaG, on 7 September 1895.1 He died aged 77 in Jonesboro, Craighead County, ArkansasG, on 20 February 19732 and was buried in the City Cemetery, JonesboroG.2 He married in Tuckerman, Jackson County, ArkansasG, on 23 July 1921, Vivetta G Young.2 She was born on 27 March 1906.2 She died aged 90 on 11 September 19962 and was buried in the City Cemetery, JonesboroG.2
     Cyrus completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was then aged 22 and was a self-employed farmer. He was single and was living at Swifton, Jackson County, ArkansasG. He claimed exemption because of a fractured skull and broken leg, but contradictorily was recorded as having no disabilities.3
