John Richard Sackett, son of George Edward Sackett and Katherine Annie "Kate" Cook, was born in Fulham, LondonG, on 7 December 19091,2 and died there aged 73 in 1983.3 He married in FulhamG in 1934, Violet Phyllis New.4,5 Violet was born on 7 June 19132 and died aged 84 in Hastings, SussexG, in December 1997.6
     In 1911 John was living at 39 Delaford Street, FulhamG, in the household of his parents George and Kate, and was recorded in the census as John Sackett, aged one and born in Fulham.7
     In 1921 he was living at 26 Laundry Road, FulhamG, in the household of his parents George and Kate, and was recorded as John Richard Sackett, aged eleven.8
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, John and Violet were living at 37 Althea Street, FulhamG. John was a builder's labourer.9
