Charles Henry Sackett, son of Alfred Arthur Sackett and Jane Louisa Townshend, was born in West Ham, EssexG, in 1910.1 He died aged 26 in Romford, EssexG, in 1936.2 He married in West HamG in 1930, Elsie E Binnie.3,4 Elsie was born on 6 April 1913.5 After Charles's death, Elsie married second, in RomfordG in 1942, Ernest G Etherington.6,7 She married third, in EssexG in 1981, Reginald A Cook.8
     In 1911 Charles was living at 98 Lawrence Avenue, Manor Park, East Ham, EssexG, in the household of his mother Louisa, and was recorded in the census as Henrie Charles Sackett, aged one and born in East Ham.9
     In 1921 he was living at 54 Parkhurst Road, East HamG, in the household of his parents Alfred and Louisa, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, aged eleven.10
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Charles's widow Elsie was living at 73 Gay Gardens, Dagenham, EssexG. She was a paid housekeeper to William Tanner.11
