John Benjamin Sackett, son of Ezekiel Sackett and Elizabeth Woodward, was born in Orange, Steuben County, New York StateG, on 8 February 1821.1 He died probably in Redford, Wayne County, MichiganG, on 28 December 1868 and was buried at Bell Branch Cemetery, RedfordG.1 He married in RedfordG on 3 April 1839, Diantha Hutchinson.1
     John was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in RedfordG.2
