Mary Johnson Sackett, daughter of Isaac Sackett and Mary Johnson, was born on 23 April 1825.1 She died aged 43 on 1 January 1869.1 She married first on 5 January 1847, Hanson C Pierson. Hanson died on 12 June 1848.2 She married second on 5 August 1852, Samuel S Chapman, son of Joseph Chapman.1 Samuel was born in 18282 and died aged about 62 in 1890.2
     In 1860 Mary was living in Laona, IllinoisG, in the household of her parents Isaac and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Mary Chapman, aged 35. Her husband Samuel Chapman, 35, and their children, Mary, 7, Mariah, 6, Hattie, 4, and Ada, aged one, were living with her.3
