William Martin Sackett, son of George William Sackett and Grace Martin, was born in Thanet, KentG, on 23 July 1933.1 He died there aged 58 in May 1992.2
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, William was a schoolboy living with his parents George and Grace at 18 Drapers Avenue, MargateG.3
