William George Sackett, civil servant, son of William Neame Sackett and Alice Susan Smith, was born in Gosport, HampshireG, in 1901.1,2 He died aged 62 at the War Memorial Hospital, Gosport, Hampshire, EnglandG, on 25 November 1963.3,4 He married in Alverstoke, HampshireG, in 1926, Margaret Eileen Mary Arnold.5,6
     In 1911 William was living at 24 Victoria Street, Forton, GosportG, in the household of his parents William and Alice, and was recorded in the census as William George Sackett, aged nine and born in Gosport.7
     In 1921 he was living at 24 Victoria Street, GosportG, in the household of his parents William and Alice, and was recorded as William George Sackett, a labourer at the Royal Naval Armament Supply Depot, aged 19.8
     William was appointed administrator of his father's estate by letters of administration granted in the Winchester Court, HampshireG, on 3 April 1959.9
     William left a will which was proved on 27 January 1964 by his widow Margaret. His estate was valued at £2,913.10
