Dorothy Winifred Spice, daughter of John Frederick Spice and Emily Lucy Sackett, was born in Mile End, LondonG, in 1897.1 She died aged 83 on 20 February 1981.2
     In 1901 Dorothy was living at 2 Chaucer Street, Wanstead, EssexG, with her widowed mother Emily in the household of her grandmother Elizabeth Sackett, and was recorded in the census as Dorothy W Spice, aged three and born in Mile End, London.3
