Susan is not a Sackett descendant but is a director of Monroe Ohio Historical Society and is researching and compiling a genealogy of Nathaniel Sackett (1769–1848), the founder of the town. One aim of the research is to find any present-day residents of Monroe who are descendants of Nathaniel. Monroe will be celebrating its bicentennial in 2017.
