"Twenty-five relatives and friends attended a turkey dinner Tuesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin H. Silliman in honor of two wedding anniversaries. Elizabeth Taylor and Edgar Sackett were married in Poquonock on February 5, 1902 by Rev. Mr. Prentice. They have one daughter. Mrs. Avis Sackett Stowell of East Ganby. Mrs. Sackett is a sister of Mr. Silliman. Cora Sackett and Arthur Saegaert were married in Poquonock on February 5, 1896 by Rev. Mr. Merwin. They were attended by Mrs. Hattie Albro Miller of Windsor and Edgar Sackett, brother of Mrs. Saegart. They have one son, Ernest, and a grandson, William of Denver, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Sackett are lifelong residents of Poquonock. Mr. and Mrs. Saegaert have made their home in California for several years, but recently moved East and now are residing in Hartford. February 5 holds another anniversary for Mr. Sackett, as he was 71 years old on that date."
